What's crazy to me about Tesla cars is they seem to be almost depreciation-proof... shop for Roadsters on AutoTrader sometime, and then compare that to a same-year BMW that had about the same MSRP.
Why on earth would your ebrake be bouncing on your driveshaft
Jesus your shit is really fucked isn't it
Yeah I think so.
When we yanked off my toasted rear rotors we popped the little spring tensioner thing from the ebrake shoes through the dust shield because the ebrake was much too tight.
Now I can't really get the new rotors off to address the issue. But I'm pretty sure I need two new dust shields, and I need to adjust things, and I really need to take a peek into the whole length of the ebrake cable, I might need new cables -.-
The ebrake holds but when you apply it at speed in a straight line it certainly feels like it is pulling one side more than the other, or just not pulling one side entirely.
Spence, I think I did the same thing. Bend the dust shield back so that slotted screw thingy holds the spring. If I remember correctly you have to remove the rear hub to get to the dust shield and fuhck that. I could be thinking/talking about something different though.

I'm pretty sure you can replace the dust shield with just the rotors and calipers/caliper brackets off.
