Lol i definitely don't have a press...actually my neighbor has a little machine shop in his garage so he may have one, but for what I wanna do I really don't think it's necessary. And at the end of the day, it's an m42 so the lower oil pan is a 20 minute job to replace anyway, so if this doesn't save me from something it's not a big deal.The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Well that may have to wait for another day because I'm getting my exhaust welded back together today. I'm working on taking it off behind the cat right now. So I have a question: Is this a resonator, and would it sound okay without it?

Well we got it all off and welded. I took it to my neighbor and he welded it for free (I'll give him a free car wash in return soon). He's almost 74 and he just welded it by hand with a torch and steel wire, but he's one of the nicest people in the world and great to be around. As he said.."it looks like shit but it just may hold."
This torch was way too hot and burned a hole in part of the resonator in about 10 seconds:

^^ for real, its nice for really thin stuff if you dont have access to a tig.
My muffler is all rotted out so i need to figure out what im gonna do. Id like a stromung but cant justify spending that much just on exhaust. Proably going to end up with an IE or a custom one with that magnaflow everyone likes.

So we got the muffler back on there and put some new tranny mounts on while we were under there. The shifting is improved so much even though they're just oem rubber and were used for like 5k miles. $5 well spent on those. Time for dinner i'm starving.The first car I ever rode in was an e30
