$40 invested with $40 on the way means your breaking even.. 5 hours of labor later your left with a dangerous at best rear diff that allows for no slip (0% Slip vs. 25% Slip in stock LSD) that has a fairly shoddy build quality as it is and generally will never be able to sell..
Your really gonna trust the full drive force of your car to one weld..? It's good for a short term thing, but best thing to think about if you haven't already done it is ditch it and get a real LSD ASAP.
Trust me.. I have plenty of horror stories about friends not listening to me and taking a welded diff to the drift tracks thinking its the same as an LSD. Couple of turns later, they're crying over a destroyed front end..Comment

.....well I guess. But only if I find a cheap on cuz until I get past 180whp I'm gonna rock this. Also its more then one weld its the gears with a steel plate re enforcement. It's not a cheap weld but my buddy has a s50 and said he wanted a different. Ratio but he never had any problems and i have plenty of friends who have welded with no problem.Comment
