No power-steering honestly sucks.. I love the connection you get with the road with it, but living in a community with a bunch of windy roads blows..

Maybe I just don't like it cause my rack is busted, tie rods are shot, and have an airbag wheel... I'm sure once I get rid of my airbag wheel, get a Z3 rack, and fix my alignment/tie rod problems I'll be fine.. Ugh, that means more money though..

    I want m3 5-lug already! :curse:

I've heard people saying driving without PS causes the rack to seize over time though.. Any light shed on this poor noob as to why..? And maybe ways to combat seizure?

I honestly do nothing wrong. And he'll be back soon enough.

Fwiw I gave up on the PS delete for today. The bolts are too damn tight at terrible angles, so they're really fucking hard to remove. I just put it back together and drove the damn thing and was content.

Pick-A-Part. Buy a new trailing arm. $50. Done.

What I did when I stripped my hub when my wheel flew off 2 weeks back

Started my car tonight after doing the head gasket + 5spd swap. Fired right up but the trans is making some noise in neutral with the clutch out. Guess the input bearing is shot, oh well i can live with a little noise.

Friend has the same problem.. Drives him nuts everyone he coasts. Said he wanted to fix it ASAP cause he couldn't stand it anymore, like a title ticking noise at the back of the brain.

Least it's not leaking or nothing like someone I know ;)

It seemed to get quiter after about 20min. I only let the car warm up to purge the coolent and then drained the oil and refilled. The trans has been sitting in ryan's shop for who knows how long so maybe once i drive it a bit that will help lube errything up and quiet it down. If not ill get get a louder exhaust lol

Mine had some issues until the flywheel appropriately mated with my clutch disc. It went away after roughly 300 miles (one fill-up)
Most likely it's just the tranny breaking in again and your clutch aligning itself. I had major ticking in neutral and it even caused my shifter to wiggle, but after the clutch break in period, I'm fine. My tranny is as smooth as a hot knife through butter

On a completely random note.. $hane.. Have you ever met Ke$ha?
