Brah, who ever drops in closest to the peak has right of way. If the wave was breaking right, and the guy who dropped in was to your left and was closer to the peak/breaking point of that particular wave, he has the right and you were in the wrong. It's hostile out there.

Go to a lesser-quality break, or to a more secluded spot for a few weeks. Learn how to paddle into waves, pop up gracefully in a single motion, make that ultra-important first bottom-turn and line up your wave. Then go surf with the big boys. Some guys are dicks but most guys don't mind if you play by the universal rules.

I wanted to get a board since renting is becoming expensive. Any recommendations? I'm not sure of any secluded areas near Santa Cruz but I'll do some research.

Sooo, I need some help choosing front sway bar sizes. I have ground control coilovers with 550/800 rates thinking about getting a m3 25mm front bar from i.e. since I have m3 sway bar tabs. Something tells me that might be too big...

Spring rates too stiff or sway bar choice? YEA the roads in sac are terrible driving down walnut toward ARC is just no. But it's not intended to be street car so I'm not tripping.

if i was going for 25mm sways with M3 pickups i would drop down to 425 fronts. or keep the 550 and get a 21mm bar.
