My M50 had S52 manifolds and all new piping/O2 sensor/cat etc. passed BAR no questions. typical deal depends on ref . good luck !

To add to this, the m50 swap I helped my friend with used a hacked up/custom e34 midsection with new walker cats in order to clear stock lollipops. It wasn't pretty, but still passed BAR as well. Like 36brua said, depends on the ref.
