Anybody have any idea why I'm not passing smog?



I expected my NOx to be high, but not my HC or CO. Getting a new cat soon; forgot my KAMotors intake on it. Left the car to idle but the Smog guy took my keys out and it sat for about 30 minutes



Also... Anyone know where to get a cat? Lol

Driving another 750 miles this weekend! woooo!... actually its kind of annoying now because the VCG has started to leak on the exhaust manifold so I have to keep a close eye on the oil level and deal with the smell...

I did that but I didn't have any play in the linkage.


I used a 3.2 L2L rack and I modified the steering knuckle. I cut some stuff and used some nuts and bolts or something. I wish I have specifics for you but it's been a long time.

i did 2 e36 racks in my mtech2 and a z3 rack in my 325is. you will need to shorten the column by loosening the nut next to the pedals. you might need to grind the knuckles slightly. and the column support at the firewall should be ground so the column doesnt rub.

all that's been done. The linkage moves up and down and clonks a little when I turn the wheel, and I haven't interacted with enough airbag cars to know if this is normal.
