That's really the only thing on my to do list with this car, just to see if the engine bay could be as clean as the exterior. Here's hoping!

Search for my build thread "318ic restore". Everything is still there except hardtop and engine.

Your car should cleanup really well if the photos are a true representation ,I cleaned up the original preservation wax that was applied at the factory and the black staining all around the edges of the hood and door edges ,it was time consuming and tedious but now it is white and has a coat of wax on it ,it is worthwhile in my opinion if you still have the car in original paint .

If you don't mind a drive, call Arnold's Upholstery in Salinas. Best upholstery shop I've ever been to, I tell everyone to go there.

You want someplace that will do a chemical dip... media blast on chrome parts didn't leave most of the stuff I used to work on in a pretty state. Call around and ask if they can do that.

If you want something a bit more local, try Mr. Stitch in San Mateo. He's been in business for years and does good work for reasonable prices. I've used him on multiple occasions for all sorts of projects.

Nice. I'll make sure to check it out since I live pretty close. Salinas is a little too far for me

Randy, the buyer, is my Dad! He's still gonna give his girlfriend a ring but the 2000 had her approval as well lol. The guy who sold the car is the same one who sold the 325 "M3" vert and is actually a very cool and knowledgeable guy. We fly out to Vegas in a little over 2 weeks to drive the 2000 back, it's gonna be a fun trip!
