you can get a few year old 328i for dirt cheap and it has good pickup and is great on gas. the 07 335i has turbo issues that are costly.Comment

Meh, I dunno about "garbage." They do occasionally have torque converter seal problems as mine did, though a remanufactured one from Steve at Dose BMW solved the issue. The failure results in a slight raise in RPM which is tied to emissions in the United States (although not in Europe), so if you live where emissions testing is required, a bad TC seal will cause a failure until the problem is resolved.Comment
