thank god. i love my veloster for being a shit box and cheap on gas. but hate that every time i drive it, i look like a poor pleb. there's a reason no one wants to steal a Hyundai. it's bc they are beh from day one.

you can get a few year old 328i for dirt cheap and it has good pickup and is great on gas. the 07 335i has turbo issues that are costly.

yeah, i'm familiar. replacing the turbo on the gencoupe was already in the upgrade path; same goes for both on a 335i. my cars don't stay stock.

Meh, I dunno about "garbage." They do occasionally have torque converter seal problems as mine did, though a remanufactured one from Steve at Dose BMW solved the issue. The failure results in a slight raise in RPM which is tied to emissions in the United States (although not in Europe), so if you live where emissions testing is required, a bad TC seal will cause a failure until the problem is resolved.
