Let me know! I’m putting on new tie rods and after I’ll be able to drive my car *very carefully* to a welder. If he’s mobile and can weld at the dealership I work at I’d be willing to pay him a little more. I’ve already installed the coilovers. Just need to weld them in place

So, when I bought my car, it came with Ground Control Coilovers from the PO, who installed them and set them up like an absolute idiot.

I've asked around to a few shops, posted on Facebook Groups, and either no one has any idea about properly adjusting coilovers, is unwilling to help, or thinks its too easy of a job to help me with, so it's not worth the time or money I'd pay to help me.

So, I'm back to ask you guys again... Has anyone put coilovers on their car and successfully set them up in a way that's not destroying their shock towers?

I have zero preload on my shocks at the moment.

I don't want to just start twisting things.

I want my car properly set up at a proper drive height that's not absolutely stupid and stanced. I did not install the Ground Controls, I don't have access to a lift, and no shop seems to be able to help, or, if they are, they're months out in advance, or several hundred dollars in "inspecting" the suspension before even attempting adjustment.

I just want to make sure the car is well balanced in both the front and back.

You need to corner balance and level the car. It feels like you’re destroying your shock towers because you’re on the bump stops.

According to GAS, there is no PreLoad on the shocks.

I understand the car needs to be corner balanced. I have never done this, and no shop seems to be able to do it.

No one will touch my suspension.

My issue is that I literally have no clue what I'm doing. When I tell people they, they just say "adjust them".

I look at video, and it shows how to adjust, but I have no clue as to where they should be set for a proper ride.

I feel like a complete idiot, because I know nothing about suspension and suspension geometry. And basically every time I try to ask someone about it, they just say "Google It" or "It's Easy, you'll figure it out."

But I'm not a fan of messing with things without having any idea as to how it works. If it's so easy, I can't understand why no one has been willing to assist me, either shop or person.

I had a pretty reputable shop tell me I needed to adjust "preload", and every time I've asked about it I'm basically told to fuck off. Just frustrating.
