@cyberkaa and @cabriolet : What do you guys do for a living, and/or where do/did you go to school?

You all seem like you are into some serious engineering. I almost went down that path (got accepted to Cal Poly for Electrical Engineering) but decided to come to UCSD for Economics/Enviro + Business Minor if I have time. The sad part about this shit is that it's just calculus, with a bunch of econ and premed students hahaha

I work at AMD as a chip design engineer, mainly writing software models of our systems to do performance projections for new products. Been doing it for 6 years now.
Got into Cornell as a CS major, but decided I liked Electrical & Computer Engineering more, so I switched to that, but ultimately graduated with both majors. Stayed on for a 5th year to get a Master's in ECE.

I liked Econ in high school, but decided I'd rather be making stuff. :D

B.S. Mechanical Engineering, postponed(mostly done) , AA in Comm. AS equ. math, physics. engineering (never app'ed for them), was VP for ballroom dance at SJSU. Worked at REI for 6 years. now i work at HP testing stuff.

God dammit. Sometimes I feel retarded for waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing out of Cal Poly Electrical Engineering...it's what my dad did, at Utah State, then he got his masters in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at Cal Poly.
