I work at AMD as a chip design engineer, mainly writing software models of our systems to do performance projections for new products. Been doing it for 6 years now.@cyberkaa and @cabriolet : What do you guys do for a living, and/or where do/did you go to school?
You all seem like you are into some serious engineering. I almost went down that path (got accepted to Cal Poly for Electrical Engineering) but decided to come to UCSD for Economics/Enviro + Business Minor if I have time. The sad part about this shit is that it's just calculus, with a bunch of econ and premed students hahaha
Got into Cornell as a CS major, but decided I liked Electrical & Computer Engineering more, so I switched to that, but ultimately graduated with both majors. Stayed on for a 5th year to get a Master's in ECE.
I liked Econ in high school, but decided I'd rather be making stuff. :D-Kalim
