    Release the hand brake!
^ ask me how i know.
there is an adjustable expanding nut at the top of the pads you can adjust the size there and also. There are 2 10mm nuts you need to loosen on those cable. that will give you all the adjustment you will need.

yeah the hand brake was released. bently said to look for a clip but I found a star wheel type nut and loosed that. It's all done now. took about 4 hours with about an hour of figuring that out and lunch break.

But my dad was there and he was super pissed at me for some reason. The engine was also from 1980 (not sure how I knew that though).

Got to remember this is all hand tools no power tools. first I have to jack up car and put on stands, then take all wheels off that's about 30 mins. Then 30mins to read about torques and the rear rotor e-brake pad release. then 1 hour dicking around with it so there's 2 hours right there. so actual work was about 2 hours or 30 mins a corner. also included clean up. Also inspected suspension stuff, bushings, control arms, etc., found out I need to get new brake lines for the front so SS it is in the future.

I should have been more supportive, sorry. GJ tackling it yourself. make sure the caliper bolts were loctite-ed and tightened very well, ive thrown one and i have other friends that have thrown them, really is scary when it happens.

I wish it were that simple. I still need reinforcement tabs welded in, etc.

I'd think so, but there's specifics like jacking up the rear end to preload the front sways and get them seated, welding reinforcements, etc.

LOL my jalopy definitely looks like a junkyard car. But that M50 is uncharacteristic of it at this time haha

Do you guys have any tips on getting lollipops off? I'm trying to make a few bucks with silence, and there are easily 4 e30's with lollipops at my local pnp, but they're a bitch to get off. I managed to rip one off, but the other two that I tried took forever and I eventually gave up.

                              4 e30's?

Are any of them manual? You should try and see if one has that hose I need.
