I think that's a bit much. A proper full repaint is $$$ if you want it done correctly. Just repaint this fender blended into half the door and part of the hood, re-clear the hood and door, and it should look like new.

what you are talking about isnt exactly cheap either, now that I thibnk about it finding a fender thats the same color is a good idea

That's true, but no good work is cheap. My mom had similar work done on her car and I believe the bill was $2400 total. But, it was an extremely expensive door that was replaced, and parts were the majority of that cost. I think Herb can get what he wants done for under $500 if he shops around.

Blending it all would look alot better than doing just the fender and sure as hell would be cheaper than a full respray. I vote for pick n pull first, then paint if you can't find what you need.
