      To clear up final confusions

There are a total of 4 bushings:
2, 6, 19, and one that is not represented but goes in the little hole in front of part# 8. (we will call it X for simplicity)

2 is the selector rod bushing
      6 is the lever bushing,
19 is the selector knuckle bushing (it's more of a firm foam really, it's almost uneeded IMO, but it came with my knuckle so I put it on anyway)
X is the shift selector rod bracket bushing

2 and X: Garagistic sells derlin versions of these. I stand by them 100% (which pretty much ensures they will never go bad and you'll never need to replace them)
6 should come with a short shift kit if you buy any half decent kit; it should also come with the yellow plastic washers and some circlips (LOTS have been popping up on r3v as of late)
19 comes with the knuckle but can be purchased for like $2 at any BMW distributor

Replacing those 4 plus a z3 1.9/3.0 SSK makes every shift feel like heaven

Thanks guys. Everything in my shifter setup is brand new except #19. Hopefully it's not a hard job, I'll replace the joint (13) and bushing (19) eventually and add some more yellow washers to my selector rod. After that my shifter's gonna be damn near as good as it'll get.

If Rob does not want it I am interested. Great starting platform for a FI motor build with a beefed up I head. I already offered Rob a Ported Polished 2.7 Eta head that has Cam mounted with Double Springs ; 3 angle valve job; all valves lapped; deck resurfaced. All that needs to happen is for the rockers to be mounted up and the oil squirter tubes installed. The rocker arms that I have for it got rusty though :( some are surface rust but some may be pitted. :(

There is also a complete unravaged/ unmolested ETA engine at the San Jose PnP with 187 alleged miles (as per odo) .
