So I might need a rear transmission seal job done soon. I did it using an Elring seal when I replaced my tranny and now it's leaking like a mofo (bad brand; always leaks, heard/read from multiple reputable sources). Bought dealer parts cause I've heard this nightmare be solved by using dealer's best but I don't think I'll be able to get that output flange nut off again with that Loctite in there.

Anyone around the area know of a reputable shop or someone that can help me do a rear transmission seal?

    Eric...?

yeah, mine was pretty rough when i got ahold of it too. i paid a shop in SoCal to restore it for me while i was deployed to iraq, and then did a bunch more work with the shop in the year after i returned. just takes a combination of time, money, and elbow grease. you'll get there.

edit: wait, you're new. how'd you know my old nick?

I have the valence and trim bits for you in San Rafael. Valence is not perfect but much better than what I am looking at in your sig. You can look at the steering wheels i have too.

what do you think would be your prices on the trim and valance? and what steering wheels do you have? That is sorta far but maybe we can meet in SF one of these days if thats doable.
