It had plenty of travel, I haven't noticed a difference in turning radius or available steering angle at lock. It might be a few mm less but any difference between it and Z3 non-M is splitting hairs.

Hehe. I enjoyed driving it when I did but I agree the lack of torque and peaky engine is a great hoon car and terrible street car.Comment

I have absolutely no issues daily driving my M3. I've driven other cars with smaller and bigger engines and there is nothing wrong with the M3. Yes it scoots above 4K rpm, but around town, who cares? Its got plenty of power to leave a stoplight in traffic, it does exactly what it needs to do with no fuss. I seriously don't get the whole "M3s suck as daily drivers". How does a person figure that a Honda Civic, or Toyota Corolla, Prius, or any other econobox is a better daily driver? They are all boring as hell to look at, drive or even ride in, yet the sell tens of thousands of them.An M3 has more power, is more comfortable, handles better, stops better, and well, does everything better. Heck, around town it gets 20 mpg, on the freeway its 29-30.
Seriously there is no reason to be above 4K rpm around town. None, unless you are on a freeway on ramp and then its a redline shift point (unless there is someone in your way or you have already exceeded the speed of traffic) Any manual transmission car will suck in stop and go traffic, there is no escaping that fact.
Who cares if the thing doesn't have 90% of its torque at 2K rpm. What fun would that be anywhere? Thanks I'll keep my peak torque north of 4500 rpm where it counts and is useful.

I'm talking as a race suspension point of view, although I have only a 5min drive to work. And also your're working your car everyday which means more maintenance and more money then if you had one of those piles of shit you mentioned above or a regular e30 3series. Others that say it sucks I have no idea, I would daily mine but the price of it keeps going up everyday that goes buy :)"I wanna see da boat movie"
