What spacers do I need to put an e36 m3 rack in an airbag car? I've done it on a non-airbag car and modified the knuckle but all the kits they sell for airbag cars only have 2 spacers for the rack mounts I believe. They don't seem to offer the kits with the knuckle spacers so I'm assuming they aren't necessary?

grind the knuckle and adjust the column from inside the car. no spacers needed. other than you need a 1/2 of washers under the rack for both bolts.

you need a joint there. the selector rod bends axially when the shift lever goes left/right.

ya. but does it need to bend up and down there? i know it needs to bent left and right

it does, because the selector rod angle changes as the lever goes back and forward. the joint needs to be free in all 3 dimensions.

draw it in cad, and my dad can run a few of these.

Just watched the 1992 movie "Juice". While I love Tupac, it makes me hate his character in the movie :(
