That would be totally nice and logical. Swap in a newer (most likely cleaner, more efficient) engine into an old car, write off the cost of doing so. Too bad it makes too much sense for the government to ever go for it.

Which way does the csb face? The diagram on pelican parts is confusing because on my drive shaft the front is splined and the rear is the female end, which is the opposite of pelican parts. And Eric told me when I picked it up from him but I just wanna confirm because I kinda forgot/don't quite trust my memory of it. I believe the side with a ring sticking out that has kinda lines molded into it faces the rear.

That's what I've been using and it confused me a bit. I'm just gonna go with what I'm 99% sure is correct.

LBV the end that sticks out more go toward the back of the car. you will notice if you do it wrong it wont fit when u go to put the clip in.

That end faces the U joint, right? Because for some reason on my car the u joint is on the front half. On every pic I find online, and iirc on my dads e30, the u joint is on the back half.

Should be two u joints, one on the front half right before the slip joint and one on the back half right before the diff flange.

Yes that's how mine is. I put my new CSB in the same way the old one came out

I might lol. My diff/half shaft flange bolts are torx not allens too.
