it's not about the overall spacer size, it's about how far the centerline of the wheel is from the bearings. in any case, 20mm is as high as i'd go without being uncomfortable.

ran 40mm on my turbo Z for years, even hit curb and destroyed 2rims, used spacers on next set of rims without issues as well.

personally I like the first set as the "fingers" of the mesh ride on top f the lip; the wheels in the second pic overlap and I think it makes the wheel look shorter or smaller

Yea turns out mine have the "fingers" like the top but lip like the bottom. Same specs as the m5 weaves too 16x7.5 et20 which i think is sweet with adapters.
