i haven't touched alcohol in about 3 seconds

      *drinks*

i like my suspension the way i did it. urethane/poly bushings and reinforcements everywhere possible (front subframe, trailing arms, camber plates, strut and x-brace, rear sway reinforcement/upgrade, and in my case, a hardtop). then run upgraded street shocks/springs, and you know they'll stay in the geometry they're supposed to, and it's not super-harsh, and i know that what harshness there is is actually doing some work, and not just a super-stiff suspension beating & flexing the shit out of an unreinforced chassis.

      just me though.

      1985 323i baur
      current:
      1995 M3 (suspension, 17x9/255-40, borla)

anything stiffer than HR race is too stiff for street use w/o reinforcement. in a coupe.
anything stiffer than HR sport in a vert is too still without reinforcement.

What kind of spring rates do you think that would compare to?

A lot of people are saying the advertised spring rates for the catuned coils (7k/8k whatever the hell that is in lbs) isn't stiff enough.

most people are idiots. and have their cars slammed past the correct geometry.

7/8 is really too stiff to be functional. you will get wheelhop and bounce, rather than have traction. in CA. in Nevada, you could run blocks of wood and be ok, the roads there are sex.

get this pants. it would work for your needs.

That will actually be a very good setup, and thats a great deal. DO IT SPENCY!

Im using IE3 springs with a coil cut in front and Bilsteins (I was told Sports). The Bilsteins feel tired and Im thinking about switching over to Konis, but not sure if an off-the-shelf setup would be properly valved for my ride height. I like where my ride height is, I dont really worry about scraping too much and it sits nice with my 16s

Drop is pretty much as advertised, 1.5" Front, and a skosh less rear.
and you can go lower by removing spring pads and the GC camber plates or E90 drop hats can lower the front more too.

Too much gender gap. I'll probably run 25/50/15's

                            Fender gap.

Thats a skinny ass tire! In the pic he is running 205/50/15 and you can easily go lower by removing the rear spring pads and getting a GC camber plate to replace the stock upper spring perch. It will be low enough to do damage.
