ya, but she loves it. and we both hated the 2013. and the mk5s are too damn ugly. so for 3k buy price, we can afford to replace everything on it. and if shes even half as lucky with this one as her mk3 we'll have no real repairs. but only time will tell.Comment

even if these VW is bad, 3k is throwaway money for a car so no biggy if it gets junked in 3 years. and parts for the 8v's are stupid cheap for the meantime.Comment

we could buy 9 of these for what my e30 cost me. so ya, if it gets hit, breaks or blows up, we'll just get something else. it isn't rare or nice or special, it's just an A to B beater car that is safer than a civic and gets 30mpg. and so far, even the KWs it's getting we are still bellow 1/2 budget for a car for her.Comment

not like any e30 is all that reliable. i just find it funny that people here dis cars, when 1/2 the e30s on this forum dont run, all have broken shit, or are just beat beyond repair.
our mk3 jetta has done 150k miles and cost us all of, 3k in maintenance, including brakes, clutch, tb/wp.
my e30s have cost me >$1/mile to maintain.
also, srsly who calls anyone a baller for a 3k really? my point was it is a throw away car, not a fancy new $40k car that we would care about.Last edited by Cabriolet; 12-10-2014, 02:45 PM.Comment
