With the most recent issues with my E30, I began searching for a more "adult" car where the temptation to modify could be held in check. I had a bunch of older BMWs I was looking at but knew they would all become projects of some sort, so I started looking at something newer to try and kill that urge. Problem is, I HATE new cars and though I have had a soft spot for the 1 series, that ultimately became a car I would pass on because of the electronic sissy devices. Ended up test driving a bunch of cars and settled on a 2008 C350 sport. Has some AMG stuff, no AMG badging (very similar to putting a M badge on a non-m car), and got it for well within my price range.
Im still tempted to lower it and do a few mods to it, but certainly nothing as wild as motor swaps, or swaps of any sort. Just simple, easy "mods" to make it more visually appealing to me.
Im happy, and now can focus on doing whatever I can to keep the E30. It suited me well as a daily for the last year and a half and I put a ton of miles on it, but with some big things happening in 2016, I have to focus on a bigger picture and the E30 being a daily driver just wont cut it.
I hope everyone has some of their own personal goals they would like to achieve in this new year. I dont really believe in resolutions, but more on the personal self improvement. I certainly need to be on a diet, but thats another story.
TLDR: I bought a C350 sport and want to lose a few lbs this year hahaSimon
