    SoCal Foodies

I know I'm not the only fatarse in SoCal. So share your favorite places to eat.

    -What's good?
    -Location?
    -Expensive? (Scale of $-$$$)
    -Hole in the wall?

    I'll go first

    Melody's Mexican Kitchen
Located in the SFV off Reseda & Vanowen
Dank fresh Mexican restaurant. Delicious cuts of meat, awesome salsa.
Everything on the menu is good
    $

    Cafe Habana
    Out in Malibu
Honestly only go for the corn, but the best corn I've ever had in my life.
4$ a cob is ridiculous, but once you try it you'll want more.
    $$

    Les Sisters
Located in Chatsworth next to Darkside
Hole in the wall Soul Food.
It makes Roscoes looks like fast food
If you don't leave with a food coma then your doing it wrong
    $$

    Ramen Yamadaya
On Ventura next to Sushi Mac
I've only been there once, but I can't wait to go back.
Compared to cup a noodles this places blows Ramen out of the water.
    Can't explain must try.

East LA taco stands.. Fire! You gotta find these, all over east LA.

I love Shin Sem Gumi in Fullerton, that place has yakitori and their ramen bar gives you unlimited noodles or broth (from what I remember).

Curry House in Puente Hills, its Japanese style curry. when i go, tend to get the same dish Deluxe katsu curry with chicken breast, "hot" curry. The stone Grilled Katsu is good too, the dish will stay hot(heat) till the last bite.

you'll find me hear every Friday evening. usually the only white guy in the building. hahah

Shisen Ramen in Torrance. Off Sepulveda blvd and Western.
Shits the BOMB , based off a Chinese style Japanese spicy ramen. I took Edwin, joey and bob there few years back.

I work right near Melodys, I will be hitting that up tomorrow for sure.

These are a couple places I hit up in the valley while at work.

                          Zaatar FActory
Love lebanese food so I go here. Cheap and very good. Get the khachupuri, so good and hard to find a place that makes these. I couldn't find one place on the westside that even made these.

                          Papa georges hymart.

Great mediterranean food but with a twist. It is family owned and they couldnt be any nicer or happier. Some customer had to wait a long time because there was a mix up and the owner chased him outside and gave him a free drink on the house.

                          And for you vegetarians

                          healthyca

Great vegetarian and vegan options. I have to say it is very refreshing but I get burned out on it fast. Great fresh food and their juices are great too.

Keep em coming, I like this thread.

I grew up in San dimas, great food. There used to me a butcher shop in the front and you could choose the cut.
