O.C. Caravan to Bimmerfest!

Ok I'll be taking the head for the OC/SD caravan meeting spot is the Irvine Spectrum (8000 Gateway, Irvine, CA for gps purposes) from there we will be headed to Bavarian Garage to meet with all the other caravans.
The lot I have chosen is perfect, it is two lefts and a right (3 stop signs) then we are on the freeway.

Meet Up Time: 6:15-6:45AM
Departure: 7:00AM (No Later)

What's the point in registering, what perks does that have? Does it change where we park when we get there?

I think its mainly to help them figure out how many people will be there and make preparations. But its also nice to see what other cars will be there ahead of time.
