32mm Clutch Fan Tool - Can I borrow it?

Does anyone in North County have a 32mm Clutch Fan Removal Tool I can borrow? I just need to get my clutch fan off cause I am going e-fan.

    Thanks!

A long punch, bar or screwdriver and a hammer will usually loosen the nut.
Just place the driver on the point of the hex and wack it with the hammer.
It should loosen in 1 or a couple of hits

          DJ, where you at?

Wilholl, that's a great idea but I don't want to ruin the water pump bearings. Last resort.

Kronus, I will look and see if I have those pliers in the kit.

          Thanks fellas!

I'm up in LA, and I'm glad I purchased one, because I've had several instances when I needed to remove the fan. I'd say it's worth the price if you can find it at your local hardware store.

Definitely don't attack it with a punch & hammer.

When removing it, I just hold onto the belt to keep the pulley from turning. Results may vary.

I just checked out Home Depot and they have one available there for $14 bucks and I can buy it tonight. I was mainly looking at expediency as opposed to price. Vatozone didn't have one so I figured the hardware stores wouldn't have one.

                Thanks for the suggestions folks!

you don't have to smash it with a lot of force. More like a couple of firm sharp taps at the tip of the hex on the fan nut. It comes right off easier than you can believe. I have been doing it this way for years (old school method)
BTW, I do have the removal wrench and holder and use them regularly, now.
But in a pinch, the other way works

Its funny you mentioned that method. The nut looks to have been beaten in a very similar method. To the point I couldn't get the nut off the water pump at all with the new wrench I just bought.

Adjustable pliers work well, I promise.

Paul, the Home Depot 32mm open wrench is thicker....but might work. By the way, the clutch fan you gave me won't work. The fan blade are facing opposite with the one I have.
