    Non-correctable exhaust ticket?

So last night I got my first ticket which just happened to be an exhaust ticket. I was going over it this morning and I realized it's non-correctable. What do I have to do in this situation? Do I still have to fix the exhaust? Do I have to go to court? Anyway to make it a correctable violation?

Cop liked my car though :nice:

If it's non-correctable you pay it. That's it. You can fight it if you think it's worth it.

How much does the fee tend to be?

They send you something in the mail with the bail amount.

                exhaust tickets should be correctable..

I'm kind of in that same boat. I've never been pulled over for my exhaust but it just seems louder here in the city. Thankfully the city of SJ's police budget has been cut in recent years ;)

Some tickets are now just fines. No more Fix-a-anything.

You pay and leave it modified.

What was the problem with your exhaust that makes it non-correctable?

I don't know. It's basically just a straight pipe from the cat but the cop didn't check that. He heard the car was loud so he gave me the ticket. He specifically told me to get it fixed as soon as he handed me the ticket but marked it non-correctable. I don't know why.

🤔 yeah if all you need is a muffler that seems correctable? Weird, wonder if you can contest it. The amount they are charging you in fines (bail) is enough to fix it.

I could probably fix it for less than the bail amount too. I think a stock exhaust for an m20 goes for like $100 (?) or something like that and the fee I'll have to pay the court for inspection or whatever is like $25.
