    Interesting reading..... Few things:

My s52 e30 passed emmisions with the dash full of warning lights. No issue. I'm running custom exhaust with aftermarket cat.

I'm running an e30 m3 driveshaft, but I'm near certain the 328 one discussed works. Just avoid the one with the cv style joint.

I have receipts and records for all the parts I bought. I did not do a budget build, so there is a huge list of replacement "while you're in there" parts. I have 15k miles on mine without issue, so I'm glad I spent the money.

No way I'd run a 4.10 with an e36 trans. Mines running a 3.25 and that's plenty short.

I'd be amazed if you didn't go over budget with a swap, unless you have a pile of time to trouble shoot and Pilage the parts yards yourself.

Sorry - still waiting on the new interior. My trip to get it keeps getting pushed out.

    Ian

I am the kind of person that replaces all "while you're in there" parts. I can't see me doing it for cheap. I just hope I can do it cheaper then just buying a swapped car.

Keep me updated with the interior.

Imagine a perfect E30 and that pretty much sums it up.

Ian, your car sounds awesome, you must show up to a gathering soon.

I'll get you guys the document soon, it needs a bit of time spent cleaning/organizing before I "publish" it.

The only thing I didn't do to mine is refresh the valvetrain. Considering a few more parts I've sold my net cost is $1610 and change. Gross cost(which doesn't include parts/cars sold) is at $3180. I bet with the parts left to sell I can break even or maybe even profit!

Looking for a clean e30 shell for a project.

I second that! I think you are crazy to give up heated cloth seats for leather. The RGR's look tits too, can't wait to get mine mounted.

Pretty sure they aren't heated, but still 10/10.

There's a few pics post swap at the bottom of the page below. The pics up top are real old (7or 8 years) and pre swap. I need to get some good shots the spring when it gets out of storage.
