Also switching the tires from the 18x10s to a lighterweight 18x10 (Dforce/Apex) if you really like 285 grip OR going to the 15x8/225 RS3 combo.
Is your car caged at all? Speakers? LTW Battery?
recaro pole position SPG's
non adjustable floor mounted seat mounts
Scroth 6 point latch link harnesses
smaller than stock battery but not a light weight one. the front is the heavy part, so i'm not too worried about the back, in fact I might toss the spare in for a bit more rear bias.
I'm running 18x9.5 and 245/35/18. 18x10 and 285's might fit, but I cant afford that, and I doubt i'll be able to turn the wheel much! I can't fit anything smaller than 17's because of the big willwoods, and honestly the car needs more tire as it is, so going to 15's would be just a smoke show.
at MSR, I put down a 1:29 in my first session. The locals said that was a really good time, and I could have shaved a few seconds if I wasn't so timid with the non power assisted brakes. Oh yeah, super custom booster delete! -2lbs!
Here is the exhaust I have. http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac-...tem-p1914.aspx
VAC claims it's 1/2 the weight of the stock E30 M3 exhaust. I think beyond cutting up the floor pan and doing a sup cool side exit shorttie exhaust, a 3" won't do much for me. I was thinking though, that the stock E36 M3 exhaust has the x pipe behind the cats, where the E30 M3 (and my exhaust) has the exhaust much much closer to the motor. I wonder if that is why the power was a bit lower 229rwhp, and the torque was high 250fl/lb.

I'd go with 17x9/255s then. Great combo, or the 17x8.5/245/40/17 Kosei K1 setup. The Koseis are quite cheap, not as strong or light as the Dforce/Apex/TR wheels, btu cheaper and plenty fine.
Have you thought about putting assisted brakes and power steering back in? Losing the weight but being unable to turn or stop the car comfortably seems like the wrong way to go.

I'd rock the 18x10 Dforce or Apex and 285s personally, or a 17x9/255 combo since he does have the fender flares to fit it, but 15s wouldn't be too bad if paired with a sticky tire.
Can't run 15's because the wheels won't clear the calipers. 17's clear just barely.

Boulder Muffler would be able to do it quite well.

255/40/17 hankook RS-3's are only $476 for a square setup from tire rack! That's an awesome price!

Geeking about how much weight to loose is a slippery slope. It sounds like you have a few more pounds to loose, but all the appreciable stuff is gone and the cost / reward curve is getting exponentially steeper for small gains. I used to geek about my bikes when I was in the peak of my mountain bike racing. Swapping out normal allen nuts for ti nuts, carbon fiber bottle cages, ti skewers, etc. Once the major stuff was gone the gains were costly and small. Taking a big dump before the race would net more gains than $400 of new hardware! God speed my friend, god speed!
My bro just got Hankook RS's for his WRX and loves them. Incredible bang for the buck. He's thinking about getting them for his M Roady, but that is on the market so probably not.JOY IS AN E30...

I got my E30 back from Autosport Werks today. I freakin put my washers on the wrong side of the drop hat, causing massive alignment float. Roland helped me take the shock assemblies out and right my wrong. It went so fast with someone who knew what they were doing and two people. Thanks man!
I'm going to try to snap a few pics tomorrow. I really like the stance. With some 10mm spacers it will be perfect. I think the 17's look great, I take back what I said about thinking they were too big.
Until I get some E30 pics here are a few from my travels (sorry for the crappy cell phone pics).
Badass F430 on my vigirous walk to Starbucks in Palm Springs, CA
Heavily Modded Kiss Themed Ford Focus valet parked at the Red Lion Hotel in Pasco, WA. No Kiss was not in town that weekend, this was somebody's DD!
Awesome Split Window in Boulder today. This thing passed me on the right going up the hill on 36. It was swapped with something powerful and watercooled. The radiator and coolant reservoir are mounted outside on the driver's side. Forward of that is a single bike tray at a reachable level. It was fucking awesome!
