[QUOTE=Roland H;2545331]What time frame are we looking at for doing this? I've got a hectic couple of weeks ahead, but could possibly squeeze in a quick spring/strut job sometime.

Well I'm not in a big hurry. I do have some free days around the 18th,19th,20th. Otherwise that following week would also work. Sam if your interested that would be cool to,really whoever has the extra free time.

Any of those days *should* work for me providing I can get back to Denver on time.

Where's you shop? And what kind of time frame are you thinking?

Yep, I got quoted around 500-750 around here just for springs from three different shops. Needless to say I had Roland do it. In Iowa I had a shop do it on a car for $150, I was shocked at prices for BMW labor.

And yes, a shop does have their purpose beyond people that just can't fix their car. Example, when something goes wrong on a car and a shop can get it in next day midweek and get it fixed and back on the road in one day. That's worth it when there is no time to do it yourself.

"shop" = my garage here in Golden.

I can probably knock it out in a day if you've got all the necessary parts ready to go. I should be back by the night 17th, if not, definitely by the 18th. I'll let you know the second I do (which will probably be the 16th).

What additional parts do you suggest I gather up?

good to have new rubber spring pads, spring hats, and hardware. hardware isn't strictly necessary, but makes things easier.

The other thing to consider is that all reputable shops have liability insurance, and it is a significant portion of the labor cost to cover that insurance. But it also means that when you take your car to a shop and something fails afterwords and causes damage to your car, the shop will cover it/replace the car.

Shadetree/garage mechanics don't have that... Not trying to take anything away from Roland, just pointing it out.

Yeah, this too. No offense taken at all either.

I still don't understand the thought process behind putting the world's largest vagina on the front of their super-car that will be predominately purchased by men.

Lol. It's a cool car to be around. No engine cover ftw. Guy was pretty normal about it too, not douchy and braggy. Just like, yep it's cool.

Yeah, it's definitely something different. Not my taste at all, but I can appreciate the engineering that's put into it.

He could live near here, colorado plates. Mykal saw him getting off of 6th onto 70 yesterday, and today he was at the colorado mills best buy. No idea who he is. Didn't get a ride but he floored in on the way out. Can't complain.
