Has anyone owned an E9? If so, what is your take on it.

Dudes the Senna movie is sooooooooo good. I have no historical knowledge of Formula 1 other than watching the occasional race with my dad growing up.

        Hey,

Not sure if its been mentioned here yet, but Robert over at Bavarian Autohaus is closing shop and clearing out. Looks like a couple of guys are taking over the business as they have to relocated, so not sure what is going on there. What I DO know is that they are cleaning up 17 years worth of parts. Tons of E30 stuff, I called a day after they THREW AWAY all of the seats, and just before I got there the threw out all the glass. Saw a big pile of wheels, lights, some tail ends, and other bits around. Worth a shot if you need something as I'm sure they will make you a deal. Bavarian Autohaus at Alemeda and Cherokee. Good luck!

my dads first bmw was this:

3.0si. He swapped in a 3.5 Metric Mechanic motor and I grew up going to soccer practice in it. Real sweet car. He swapped in a 5 speed and the exhaust on it really made it rip. Was driven regularly up until about 4 years ago, it started missing, needs an injector and has developed some rust. Luckily its already brown lol
Ive only driven it a few times but was a blast to ride in, glad it wasn't an auto though! He has since upgraded to e31, and e39 but hangs on to it due to sentimental value.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

That's an awesome car downforce! The only cool car of my dad's I remember was his old bug. He used to strap me into it with a 3in. ratcheting strap!

If I am going to Golden from Boulder at around 3pm, should I take 36 down to I-70, or should i take 93 down?

Yep, Robert's shop was a staple here in town. Bummer he is closing out, but its good to know that he is headed off to Maui, so I'm sure he'll be happy there with his slantnose turbo!

Do you guys have a recommendation for roll cage fabrication in the local denver/springs area?

shameless plug here, but you should ask on the rally forum in my sig. There are some seasoned rally people there that have done cages and have had cages done in the Denver area.

There is only one correct answer. Built-by-Bones in Loveland, right next to SCR Performance. Grant is the man when it comes to cages.

In other news....I haz a running S50 with a rebuilt head. Time for cams and ITBs and other shenanigans.
