It drives like a Mazda. Everything is really well put together for driving. It's pretty nice being able to drive a 19k car that gets near 40mpg and still have a smile on your face.

We drove other cars like the new Subaru's. They seriously would make my life more dull. There is zero thrill in them. That is the problem with 'economy' cars.

The skyactiv still has a multi-link rear suspension, which really helps with the handling compared to other cheaper setups. We test drove it up dear creek canyon and still had a good time. It even has a 6-speed. It really stands out against the other cheap cars.

The BRZ just wasn't practical for winter, the dog, and mountain bikes. It would need to be a DD for my wife because we are downsizing the number of cars we have.

It's a fun car. The skyactiv has a ton of technology in it so I can nerd out on that. Mykal already determined that she is getting tint and wheels, so that will be cool.

I was not impressed with the BRZ in stock form. With coils/brakes/wheels/tires/power it's got potential, but I was hoping for it to be the next E30/E36 M3 from the factory, which it's not.... :/

That's a very nice acquisition though Brad :D

Make sure to get the rear bumper covered with some clear bra.

Huh, I had heard that it was fairly close. Maybe the FRS is a little better? I know there are some slight suspension differences, I believe in the shocks and springs.
