^ I paid 2400 for a 1995 325i convertible in CA in 7/10 shape with a working power top. I don't know what he's expecting with that price tag.

this is so clean...but that price though......
You would think that with that much time, effort, and money spent. You would at least take the valve cover off and clean it up. Car is beautiful but that bay looks like shit

^ also dunno if anyone knows this but the license plate on that car is not period correct at all. CA license plates are sequential and 6WQZ has come out within the past couple years so I dunno how the car has been meticulously maintained but also switched owners, when CA is supposed to be a "plates go with the car" state.

Happens all the time in CA if an owner lets the registration go, if one of your plates get stolen or lost and various other reasons, CA DMV will only provide new plates (until recently, but that's only vintage plates).

Cops in CA hand out front plate tickets like the Mexicans handing out call girl cards on the vegas strip so you would eventually need new plates if you only had one. I have two CA e30's, one with a "6" series plate and another with the original.

I've seen that but have no idea why it happens. I bought a '93 Saab from a guy in 2011 with 2009 tags and dmv late fees and got to keep the original 3 series plates. There was never a question. But then I bought an e36 from a small dealer and it came with new 6 series plates. The new vintage plates are pretty cool and I'm surprised CA is going to them now. There's a guy down the street from me in CT who has an old fox body mustang convertible with original sunset CA plates that just sits in his driveway. It's a shame
