If it's who I think it is then he's not blowing smoke. But it's rotted and needs major repairs for a salvage title.

For sale is a 1972 BMW 2002. Green on brown interior, automatic. The car is in overall good condition. Body is good and 98 percent rust free. Typical spots such as the floors, frame rails, rockers, shock towers are rust free as well as the hood, trunklid, doors, quarter panels, and front fenders have no rust. Small spot of rust on the lower nose panel, that is it. Chrome is in good condition and paint shines well and is free of major scratches and dings/dents. Interior is nice and clean, seats have no rips and horsehair padding is plush. Dash has one small crack near the seat belt light and steering wheel has no cracks. No speaker holes in the doors or rear shelf by back window. Brake system has been renewed with new calipers, wheel cylinders, pads/shoes, rubber brake lines, and a majority of the steel brake lines have been replaced. New water pump and most of the coolant hoses have been replaced. Solex one barrel carb has been rebuilt recently and also the car was tuned up with new wires, cap, rotor, points and condenser. Tranny shifts as its supposed to. Engine runs smooth, however there is a mis-fire and one cylinder has low compression. Engine will need to be overhauled. Despite this, the car drives well and can be driven as is. My intention with the car was to swap the engine from a parts car into it along with a five speed manual, but with winter coming I don't have the space to do the job or store the car, so it needs to go. Clear title comes with the car, price is $5,300 or best offer. Car is located in Westfield, MA.

Superssprint muffler with custom piping.
TRM performance chip.
M3 steering rack.
ZF transmission.
UUC light weight flywheel with OEM M5 clutch kit from bavauto.
Turner motorsport power pulley kit.
Drive shaft and guibo replaced a year ago with rebuilt 328i from bavauto.
3.25 LSD installed, also have 4.10 and 2.93 available.
spark plugs, boots, and valve cover gaskets recently replaced.
Ground control coilovers.
Front lower control arms and bushings replaced a few months ago.
Rear shocks replaced last year (Koni yellow).
