The last sentence in this article gave me a wonderful idea. Good thing that these guys are in Seattle, eh?

A good car needs to be reliable, get good mpg, etc., but yeah, I won't settle for a bad interior.
Agree completely! The interior is not as comfy as my 6 with busted seats, but its just a commuter. 35 minutes a day in it won't kill me

Mmmokay. Just rolled from Santa Cruz CA to Roseburg OR non stop without refueling. 523 miles, 26 mpg averaging 72 mph.

Yeah my car can pull around 26mpg at 60mph with the auto - but in town the fuel economy sucks. My tranny is very tired though, probably the main part.

That said, expect to see my 5 speed swap VERY soon

Besides the lackluster seats, I sold my CTS Coupe because of the MPG. I noticed that it was exceptionally bad when I got 25mpg in my e30 and started using the LS for long hauls.

So some of us drive our BMWs for the MPGs :)

                          This.

People drive BMW's to fill a void in their life or to compensate for having a small one.
