I keep thinking about doing a M42 swap instead of a M20B25 swap. The old sensibleness is creeping in with age.

Much lighter, the weight sits so much further back, and the gas mileage. I could drive the thing across the country and back.

          Many think, much question, wow.

Anyone know if the M10 and M42 are the same bellhousing?

Nevermind. I just did a gofast part search for the M42. There's not that much.

I had the same thoughts for awhile. Then I remember seeing Gerta do the profile gasket for the timing covers.. Yeah I'm familiar with the M20 and I love it. Sticking with it. Proven time and time again and more than enough for the 2002.

Stick with your original plan. Stop deviating.

Deviate sounds so negative. I'm mearly carefully considering alternative possibilities. But, you're right, the original plan is the best: m20B25 with a g265.

There is more to do to an m20 to make fast than an m42. I say be a man and go 24v.

Don't want him to bite off more than he can chew... I don't think 24v swap into E21 is as easy as E30
