Going to have to agree with this one. Running GCs on stock shocks is crazy. I had new sports on my car and even those weren't enough. Ended up with short konis.

Maybe he's running into the bumpstops? Koni though for sure.

Running stock struts requires you keep the stock bumpstops.. Sport shocks have internal bump stops and are valved for shorter springs.. So hes just driving around bottoming out 24/7..... Welcome to R3V!

So you are going to buy shit coilovers because you are too lazy to put the correct struts into your GC?!? Are you high?!

                What's this worth?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!

Could just pull the stock springs out and run bottomed out for free...

Note: I have GCs with Konis and I love the ride...

I've never actually bottomed the struts out, I'm not that low. The reason I'm going with the bc's is because i want stiffer rates so I would need new gc's, I need struts, shock mounts, and camber plates. Along with all new bushings, control arms and brakes through out the car. I'd rather skimp a little on the coils over the control arms bushings and brakes. I only have so much money. As it stands I'm spending almost 3000 to refresh my suspension on a 900$ car.

On top of that I'm building a fresh 2.7i with new everything. Yes I'm trying. Not everyone's made of money. It would have cost 4 times less to drop In a junkyard 24v like most of you do.
