And it took you longer than 15mins? Noobs!
In other news. My recent shopping for the E21:
Time for the real fun to begin! Well, once I make it to my buddy Tyler's and pick up an engine stand.
I also got some period-appropriate wheels to roll on until I get some RS's:
Yeah boy! It's 1990 all over again!Comment

Ive known those two for quite a while, and they have lent me a hand on a few occasions, as have I lent them a hand. I'm nice to those that dont just ask for handouts, especially those whom I dont even know. ;)sigpicComment

How does one adjust the valves resulting in a tow? Shouldnt take more than an hour even for the inexperienced.sigpicComment

Long story short, we took off the valve cover, Carl (cbake) adjusted and turned the crank from the bottom from right to left. Replaced everything, turned on the car and idled fine, then rev it up a bit and all of the sudden we heard the worst sound in the world coming from the cover.
2nd time around we re-adjusted according to piston firing sequence and replaced everything and the end result was the same.
THIRD attempt...
Eric (EJNight) came out sunday morning and adjusted them, two people put pressure on the valve cover, rev'd it and same thing.
It makes a horrible clacking noise from the cover. We suspect all sorts of things but we just can't figure it out. Fuckin IX... It sounds like a woodpecker on metal lolComment
