Timing belt and water pump we did at the same time 3 weeks ago. The gasket didnt seal and it leaked. So we tried a new gasket and it still didn't work.

We have the gasket, and have pretty much just given up. No more patience.

Its funny because the water pump gasket on my car sealed fine!

The timing belt is supposed to be changed out each time it is removed. Only meant to be tensioned once. Not sure how many people actually follow that though

Well I can understand that. But the car had been driven maybe 200 miles before we untensioned it

The amount of driving is not important. It could have been driven 0 miles ;)

I can do the pump without removing the tension off the tb. Kind of a bitch to get the spring back in but it is possible. How bad is it leaking? Meet in chehalis at lukes maybe? Just a thought

on a side note im excited to hopefully be adding some low to my car this weekend just waitng for my new konis to arrive and gc camber plates. car is also going to be using m3 sway bar endlinks (thanks josh) so excited.
