How much does a good running M42 with less than 100k go for these days?

Not necessarily there is a market for these and well they aren't easy to find. sure the e30 might like swapping them out but there is still a nice market for them.

So sounds like a coworker may be buying an iX JUST like mine. Same color, four door, 5spd, etc. Etc. To be honest I'm kinda bummed and upset cause it makes my car less exclusive.

Am I just being a little bitch? Should I be happy for my Co worker? This seriously has me thinking about selling it and getting another one.

So far, I know of a guy that wants $800 for a 70k motor and all accessories. And there's another guy that pretty much has a plug and play swap/tranny, but hasn't told me his price yet.

So far it's looking like an M20B25 would be cheaper. And more fun IMO. I could really only go for a M42 if it was more cost effective.

They're hunting down a 20+ year old car that is (relatively) rare. They'll (likely) take care of it and have fun at no real expense to you.

Offer an olive branch and a set of floor mats as a welcome present.
