Thats why I sold all mine. Too hard to resist being a squid, plus there were a few close calls in traffic that will make you think long and hard next time you go for a ride

I held off for as long as I could but finally bit the bullet and picked up a bike. Well, all the parts to a bike. I'm hoping that having a horrifically underpowered bike will keep me from doing too much stupid stuff.

I have owned a few bikes. Crotch rocket, cruiser and a dirtbike. At some point I have either dumped or came very close to dumping every one of them. I have a heavy foot at times, my wrist.....well, you get the idea. I want another one though.

My room mate is a mechanic at a bike shop and has said a few times; Ride like everyone on the road is trying to hit you. It won't save you from wrecking, but at least you'll be prepared when you go down.

Getting a Ducati is punishing your bank account. Utterly not worth it.

I promised that I would never die, that was enough to satisfy my BFF, been riding ever since. If you had gotten a Trail90 instead of your scooter-thing you could get up to 40 easy without boring out/swapping motors. They're great for your sort of commute. Stephen got his for $150 but it needs work, mine was $500 running perfectly. I absolutely adore it.
