        Don't use gas for things like that. One mistake and you will be 5fingers or nobrow.

                        Ive read around a bit and people say they are generally interchangeable.

                          They are both petroleum based and leave a residue. If you are going to bedline it, I wouldn't worry about getting it spotless. You are going to have to sand the crap out of it and then clean with acetone or preferably a wax and grease remover prior to painting it.
