I hate front plates, but I hate cops more. I run a front plate

I have my euro plate under my glass, like it there more than on the bumper

Better to have no plate than euro plate. And so long as your not driving around all suspect cops won't harass you.

Funny story.. I was parked sort of in the middle of a residential street ziptieing my lip back on. Cop turns corner and comes down street.

He stops in front of my car, and I hop over to drivers side and turn my car off (it was straightpiped and loud)

He demanded to see my drivers license and had to get my plate number "to make sure car wasnt stolen"

He looked at the front of my car, saw nothing, then walked to back to get it. Then he let me go

Exactly - don't give them any other reason to stop you and they usually won't bother you about the plate.

$500 zinno 5 speed eta (paint faded to pink but VERY straight) that needs a battery

$500 bostongrun metallic e36 m50TU auto that is stuck in limp mode with straight body but hella scratched and faded paint

E36 - motor is worth that if its good.

Thats what I am thinking... trying to source parts for 5 speed swap. E36 also has a nicer interior, e30s is all moldy

I think it's a good call. $500 dead e30's can be had fairly regularly if you're patient. You could get the motor and part the rest and pay for the swap!
