I forget exactly the process, my dad did it on his '67 Corvette. I think you buy the old ones then register a custom plate number that just is the old one. then as far as the state is concerned, a plate with the right numbers is a plate with the right numbers.

Don't quote me on that order of operations though.

I was trying to go pick it up tonight possibly, rear fenders look really rolled, but I thought i might be able to save it.

Only thing that worries me is the door isn't original or the paint on the door isnt orignal, you can see when you click on the link for his wheels and it shows up obviously at night.
