bought the truck. its pretty solid for its year, $660 delivered.

except its a running driving 63 1 ton with little rust that needs a carb rebuild. gets 15mpg and is stupid easy to repair. Needs the lights gone through and a little stuff. should be road ready and titled for $1000. my neighbor and I got it as a learning experience and flip project.

I can finally see the light at the end if the tunnel on rebuilding my e30. Things are coming together nicely!

We've managed to get the motor and trans in, front subframe, rack, and sway bar in, front suspension (minus outer tie rods, those are in transit), and front brakes. The plan is to finish up rear suspension and brakes tonight.

New headers should be in today, so those can get bolted up. Just waiting on hoses to show up so we can button everything up

Got to love shops, had a friend on a road trip in Cali. His Nissan had some hesitation issues. So he went to a shop in Sacramento.

They replaced his flywheel. Exhaust and cat. And a bunch of other expensive shit...car stuff has the hesitation issue.

I just helped him change plugs and wires. Issue is resolved. There should be a basic automotive class required to reach adult hood.

He shelled out like 4500$

Sounds like he should have been really, really pissed off at that shop before he paid the bill.

In Bend oregon and sounds like the e36 steering rack and the pump are not getting along.

Does the pump have its own belt? It so, pull belt and get home with pumped arms haha

Its a S52 with a serpentine belt. Sounds like the pump is making noise when at temp. Cold everything quiet. No weird steering feel. I'll look closer in the morning.

Chatter noise or whine?

Is the fluid high enough? My truck gets all kinds of mad if the PS fluid is too low lol it'll pick up a bubble and chatter and whine.

It probably needs to be bled, are all the fittings tight?

Whine noise. Fittings tight. Plenty of fluid. The rack to reservoir hose drips but not that much.
