    Need help! Busted oil pan!

I cracked my oil pan on my 88 325i tonight. I am hoping someone near Renton Wa has a extra oil pan that I have can have or cheap.

JB weld it if the crack is not wide. Ive never been a fan of half ass fixes on my car but the stuff works well until you get a good pan.

This may sound a little off. My friend works at a shop and told me he could weld up my pan wile on the car. Can this be done?

BTW, I have a lead on a skid plate!

Absolutely not. Not a good weld at least. You have to have it 100% free of any contamination before you weld, or it won't take.

He mentioned cleaning the damaged spot, putting a patch over it and welding around the patch.

But you can't clean it 100% unless the pan is off the car.
