    Track car maybe?

Unless you have another daily driver dealing with all the hassle and bullshit that comes with a 900 dolla car can add up really, really fast.

    Fuck DIY body work, btw.

All you have to do is fix the idling issue, buff it out, add some money for the TLC, and you've got yourself a nice car.
Its a little more then an idle issue, but I get your point.

Also just found out car was not registered the last two times it was sold, meaning there is lots of money to be paid if I were to register it :hitler:

Don't think we have that issue in oregon, just gotta make sure they don't date the title, if you plan on not transfering it right away

Don't part it. Too many people parting out every E30 they get their grubby mitts on for some cash. Fix it and sell it/pass it along to someone else.

I know there seems to be a ton of these out there still that we shouldn't worry about it, but just in case some forgot, they ain't makin' em any more.. I have met more than a few E30 guru's who talk about the car they wish they hadn't parted out, don't become one.

You have a lot to learn, young padawan. I was in a very similar spot to you a few years back. Realistically, I should have just parted or sold my red car, but I didn't, and I don't regret it in the slightest.

If you like the car, keep it and fix it. If you don't like it or have any hesitations, sell it as is. There really isn't a lot of money in parts. Sure, if you sat on stuff long enough, you could make some money on it, and if it's worth it to you, part it. Otherwise, sell it as a whole and cut your losses.

                                Best,
