How is this not sold yet? If you were local I would probably pick this up as a spare.

I'm confused about this post, the original post has pics of the motor pulled, but the compression numbers came after?
220-230 is pretty high for a s52, im skeptical on the numbers. I have the cash to buy this but I want some more proof/verification that this is a healthy motor.Last edited by thedean; 11-08-2013, 08:12 PM.

I never got numbers beforehand because my plans for the engine were to roll new bearings in and put new rings as well. So, I never even thought to ask for compression numbers. Since I'm selling the engine now and for peace of mind I called the company I purchased the engine through to see if they recorded any information about the engine before they pulled it. Those were the number they gave me. My initial thought was those numbers look high as well. When I asked about the number they stated when they do a compression check they do a "wet" compression check. Meaning they add a few tablespoons of oil into the hole to check for bad rings and if the rings and compression are good the numbers will tend to be a little higher than normal. So, with normal compression numbers of a S52 being around 190, 220 on wet compression is pretty spot on. I wish they could of given me a print out but, it is what it is and that's why then engine is so cheap.+1
