            lol, he was so sure he connected them right.

            I was going to post that the 30 year old brown negative cable now looks red and is easy to confuse but it looks like that's already been covered a few dozen times. GJ guys.

                OP, I had a time once, It was dark, smoking was involved, I was in a hurry, my eye twitched and my ankle twisted, i itched my ass.. .. I ended of connecting my leads in backwards and although I didnt get smoke, all I had to do was replace the inline fuse and I was good to go :)
