nothing wrong with a modified car if it done right. It will even save you money in the long run if it has things done to it you like ;)

i have driven a 944 turbo. nice car, but the e30 is definitely more of a DD car.

food for thought: would you still think that the e30 is more of a DD if the porsche isn't a 944 turbo?...say base model or "S" or "S2"?

Both cars are great. The thing i love about e30's is there are so many things you can do to them and parts are pretty readily available.

                      +1 what kind of budget?

ive seen a few 944s around and there is always a issue with transmissions and the "power tube" i think its called? they (porsche owners) dont call it a drive shaft. with the transmission mounted in the back of the car, apparently it has a lot of issues.

ive noticed this is the 3rd thread youve started regarding finding a car. might throttle it back to one thread and just post in it. what happened to the white car in the other thread you posted?

about five thousand. I appologize, I thought I would do one in the pnw and one in the for sale/wanted section. the other was seeing if the vert i found was a r3v members and/or what others thought.

i snagged an alpine on black 91 325 vert w plastic bumpers from pdx craigslist a few weeks ago. VERY clean, for 3k.

they are out there, if you're patient, and willing to sit up late, waiting for the right thing to pop up.

the verts that are on CL right now look like ass.

I've got a clean brilliantrot 91 318iS that I could let go for the right price (once the title arrives, I just registered it).

well yeah this is true but I'd say there are more improperly modded cars out there than properly modded... especially on craigslist.
